Occupational Health and Safety

Care for human resources, i.e. the employees, is one of the most crucial tasks for the management of Novi Sad Bus factory. Having that in mind, the management makes sure that the workers feel safe and that all work places are supplied with protective and safety equipment in order to keep production and other activities running securely.

A safety risk assessment has been made for each of the 90 stationary machines and safety measures are conducted in accordance with every individual demand for each work place.

The employees are given manuals to safely operate every machine, as well as the necessary protective shoes, clothes, glasses, masks, gloves, etc.

The Board of Directors has issued a Book of regulations concerning safety at work, thus raising this type of performance to the highest level.

In "Neobus" AD severe injuries did not occur for a long period of time.

Fire protection

In order to prevent and stop possible fire, a series of activities are performed in conformity to the company’s rules and regulations.

Special, modern, automatic systems for gas detection and alarm, as well as fire detection and alarm have been purchased and installed.

Also, an automatic system for fire extinguishing has been installed, and there is a network of hydrants and fire extinguishers.

Extensive safety measures are being taken considering the specific nature of "Neobus" line of work, in which a certain amount of hazards is present.

"Neobus" has formed a specialized department of highly skilled staff, but there is also a volunteers’ fire brigade. Existing since 1952, the founding year of "Neobus", this brigade is one of the trademarks and pride of the company. They have taken part in many competitions throughout the former SFRY and won important prizes.

Both practical and theoretical knowledge regarding fire protection is regularly tested with the employees in "Neobus" AD.
